What do you think...part 2

For those of you who come here to see what the kids are doing....I am sorry. I am having so much fun looking at all the old pictures and feel like I should share the joy. So you saw pictures of my mom, now here I am. Do any of my kids look like me?

Me and Sheldon

I remember this so well. I was sent to my grandmas to get something (she lives 5 houses from us)she wasn't home so I sat down to wait for her. When I didn't come home my mom came to see what was taking so long. Like a good mother she took a picture first!
Nice jumpsuit don't you think

That is all for now. I have great family pictures still to post and also a few of my dad. I know you are all dying to see those so I will post them soon!

What do you think?

I found the old cd with all the pictures of me when I was a baby and all these great pictures of my mom and dad when they were my age. What do you think? Do I look like my mom?

I can see my smile in this one.

I love this picture of my mom. It is her. She is always smiling and laughing. I think I need to print it out and hang it somewhere. Love it and love you mom!

Tag

My friend April "tagged" me which means I need to tell 6 things about myself. This is hard. I have been thinking for a few days what to write and can't come up with 6 interesting things so you will just have to take what you get. It is 4 something in the morning and I can't sleep so this is the perfect time to write

  1. I brush my teeth with my eyes closed. I don't know why..I just do.
  2. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was little. I was in the 6th grade when the Challenger exploded along with my dream. We got to stay in for recess to watch it because there was a teacher on board. I remember all the boys laughing because they thought it was cool. I remember trying not to cry.
  3. I love to read. I must read before bed (just like April) Poor Chris has learned to sleep with the lights on.
  4. We met on a blind date in high school and I was instantly in love with him. In one of my classes in high school we had to write a letter to ourselves that we would get in the mail in 5 years. When it said who I wanted to be married to I had written his name.
  5. We didn't kiss once until AFTER we were engaged. Weird I know and believe me it wasn't my choice. (Good thing we only dated a week before we were engaged right?)
  6. I love cleaning. I love having a clean house and when the sun comes through my windows into my clean house it makes me very happy. (I hate laundry)

WOW that wasn't as hard as I thought. Come on Deborah it is good for you! Who can I tag that will really do this..my little sister Liseanne and my good friend Beckey!!

Thanksgiving

This is what it looked like outside. It rained most of the morning, but that didn't stop Chris and I from our daily run! I went and bought long running pants today. (Friday)

This is our turkey before. The kids were fascinated with this. Like you all know we have never made one therefore they have never seen one. They could not get enough at looking and being grossed out by it.
Ok but really look how good it turned out.

I brined it all night and then put an onion and fresh herbs from the garden in in and about 2 cups of chicken broth in the bottom of the pan. I am not one to brag and be boastful, but man it was a good turkey!
Look at all the good food we had. The Pulleys brought the potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and apple pies. The "PG" on the potatoes doesn't stand for pretty good, they were really good) It stands for Pulley Gregory! Look how clever Deborah is.
The kids were at this table for less then 10 minutes and then off to play.
The boys get along great.
As well as the girls.

Somehow I didn't get a picture of Annabel with her. Those two are twins separated by 5 years and different families. They love each other and get along great.
She came out of the womb LOVING Deborah. The feeling is mutual though. It is so fun to see someone love your child as much as you do.
Nintendo Wii
They are reading Dick and Jane to each other

This is Rosemary whom we love very much. She is part of the family here. Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without her. The turkey kicked in pretty quick with Darren. I don't think we had been done 10 minutes and he was sleeping on the couch.

We then had a little talent show. All the Pulley kids played and these two. It was nice for Rosemary to see.

All in all it was a great Thanksgiving. It wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be and I may be speaking too soon, but I would do it again. It is great to be with people you love on holidays.

Here are the projects I had to do for a friend before Thanksgiving. What wonderful friends I have who will buy my things. It really is such a complement. It is so fun for me to do. The baptism towel I have my dear friend Heidi to thank or really maybe her sister Julie.

I have April to thank for the button idea on the bib (what do you think April) Maybe I will always use a red button and it will be like a signature and when we see a famous baby wearing one in People magazine we can all say hey look she is wearing a "Little Abby" design we can tell by the red button. OHH and if you could only feel how soft that blue minkee material is on the back you would want a blanket out of it. (I need to post one I made for Deborah)

I have my mom to thank for the hood on the towel. I was looking for a pattern for a round hood and she just made it up. She is so cool!!
Isn't my model so cute.

Mayflower

My Friend, April has tagged me which means I need to tell 6 interesting things about me. This may take a day or two to think about so here is something while you wait. It was the Thanksgiving Feast yesterday at the preschool. She was so excited to go because she got to finally wear her Mayflower hat. When she got home from school the first thing out of her mouth was "Mom that Thanksgiving Feast was Awesome"

My favorite time of day!

I know you are all thinking what a terrible mom I am for saying this, but this is my favorite time of day. Don't get me wrong, I love it when they are all awake, but there is something about a quiet house when all the kids are sleeping. I can reflect on the day, I can look at them and remember things I couldn't remember earlier when they were fighting. I can kiss them and they can't wipe it all away. This is the time when I think having 5 kids really isn't that hard.
They look like the angels that they are. Truly I love them all and I love being a mom. There is nothing else I would rather be doing!

What have I done??!?!?!

That's right, it's a turkey! I bought a turkey. Why you ask? Well Chris said "Maybe we should eat at home this year." I quickly said "are you crazy" He said "not alone, but like if the Pulleys want to have dinner at home we should eat with them" We have had Thanksgiving dinner at the Cracker Barrel for many years now and love it.( In fact a few years ago Tyler said, "Mom did you know some people eat thanksgiving dinner at home. Maybe we should try it sometime." Oh we laughed about that.) The Pulleys have had it there with us a few times, but Darren really likes him home cooked dinner. Deborah called me yesterday and the rest of the story is history. It is all good. We are Thankful for them. They are our family here, we love being with them, the kids love each other, I am really excited. But, not only are we staying home I offered to have it here and make the turkey. I have never, NO NEVER, in my life made a turkey. Maybe we will all be at the Cracker Barrel after all..we will just have to wait and see.

Student of the Week

Today we were invited by T's teacher to have lunch with him, a friend, and her because he is student of the week. I wouldn't really call it lunch though because it was at 10:50am.
She really loves him so much!
This is T's friend. They were on the same soccer team this summer. S is the goalie and is pretty good. They only lost two games and it was to the same team and they were undefeated.
This is Ms. Lanovara. We really like her. She is so patient and kind and likes T for who he is. What a great idea she had to do this. We get to know her and it was so fun for T and the girls.

(p.s. I really don't live in a messy house)

(p.s.s or is it p.p.s I really do clean, like this morning it was done before 9:00)

please don't judge me! :)
