Reflections

Here are a few pictures I took while the kids were playing in the puddles. I loved trying to get pictures of their reflections as they ran by. Some turned out better than others.

Buxton Family

This past Sunday one of my best friends from high school stopped by. She lives in Nova Scotia and was on her way to Utah. I hadn't seen her in 5 years and I hadn't seen her husband, Travis in 8+ years and I had never met her kids. It was SO great to see them. We had dinner and just sat around and talked. I LOVED every minute of it. It was like no time had passed...the sign of a true friend! Could you just about die! Look at little Mason! Oh those cheeks! Oh those eyes! DARLING!!
Little Halle. Isn't she beautiful! Look at her eyes! She was so cute and the girls LOVED her. It was so fun to see Ab try to baby her like every one babies her. SO cute!
It was IMPOSSIBLE to get all the kids to sit still. Poor Halle didn't want to sit. Madison is trying to hold them both and poor Brooklyn just wants to finish playing soccer as do the boys. E just wants NOTHING to do with pictures (as usual)
Yeah, I had my camera in the wrong mode so we are blurry! UGH!! Oh well. Beckey I will need a copy of yours. Thanks for coming. We had a blast! Have fun in Utah and go see a REAL parade for me! :) Remember us on your way back to Canada!

playing with my camera

Deborah told me about this cool place to take pictures so we packed up the girls and went. Bea and Annabel are SO good to sit and let me try different things. I think by the time I learn how to take good pictures (like Kara) they will be as sick of me as much as my kids are. Here is lovely Bea. It is a little dark, but once I learn how to use photoshop and shoot in RAW I should be able to fix it all up.
I know this is a silly one, but I love her eyes in it.
Darling Annabel will always do what I ask of her. She is SO photogenic!
They really do love each other!
This is how I kept track of my kids while I was taking pictures. Locked up!! I need something like this at my house.
We were there without a potty for too long. I should have listened to her when she said she really needed to go! :)

close up

Still trying to decide which fun puddle pictures to post. I narrowed it down to 30, but I can't put that many on here. Here are a few close ups I took that night. I really love the ones on E, but the focus fell on her headband and not her eyes. ARGH!!! Somehow I missed getting one of little A.

rain

We had quite the down pour yesterday and my kids LOVED it. After it stopped we went out to see the rainbow and they all headed straight for the puddles. Three had already showered for the night. Oh well!! I took way TOO many so I may just take a few days and post some of my favorites. They had a ball.

kids

This is the place I was telling you about. What a fun photo spot for the kids. Actually the word fun, photo and kids (mine) really shouldn't be in the same sentence.
I did manage to get a few OK shots.
C looks like this in about every shot I take of him no mater where or when. PAINED to even be in a shot!
The littlest monkey is mad because there is a small hole in front of her and she is afraid her sister is going to push her in.
She is crying just thinking about it and leaves.
I actually really love this one. She does this quite a bit when she pouts.
This was on the way back to the car, just a random place and it is my favorite. They can be so cute when they want to be (and when they are sleeping!)

family pictures

I found this fun place to take pictures of the kids in their 4th of July clothes the other day after taking Chris to work. I got them all ready this morning and by the time we started out it was raining a little. I managed to take about 130 pictures, before they were bored. Do they look happy to be done? I will post some more after I (hopefully) find one I like!

can you say tomato?

SO...we finally planted our garden. We were a little late so we bought seedlings for most of it. I still put a few seeds in the ground, so we will see. I have had to really change what I plant because of all the squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, rabbits, deer, rabbits, hedgehogs, and rabbits that like to eat my stuff. This year for some odd reason we planted even more tomatoes then we normally do. How many you ask? How does 30 tomato plants sound! We planted Lemon boys, beef steak, and cherry. I know I know what you are thinking, but really we will just have to make salsa with the 30 tomato plants, 12 jalapeno, 10 red pepper, green pepper, sweet banana peppers and onion.(the last three are seeds we planted) T really wanted to try jalapenos and C choose green peppers and banana peppers. I really can't wait to see a rabbit try one of our jalapenos!!!
The message of the story here is for you my dear friends who live close by (sorry for you who don't) when all these tomatoes start to rippen this summer, please call! Please please please call before you buy any tomatoes this summer!! Deborah shares her pool...we share tomatoes.
