NYC day 2

We were going to go to Disney World, but decided we couldn't do it this year. I had bought material to make the girls outfits for Disney. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I was thrilled when I thought of this idea 3 days before we left. This is right outside of our hotel.
a closer look...no they are not twins.
it was unbearably hot this day. HOT HOT HOT
This is the first time we had been to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. We usually take the Staten Island Ferry which goes by Lady Liberty and it's free.
I couldn't get them all in the picture together.

don't tell Chris I put a picture of him on the blog. He doesn't like it.
She carried her camera around with her. When we got to Ellis Island there was a Barbie display and she took a picture of almost every one.
When we got off the ferry there was a little spray park. We told them they could take off their shoes and only get their feet wet.
I bet you can guess what happens next
that's right...more then her feet got wet
he stayed out of the water
they loved this more then seeing Lady Liberty
it was because it was SOOOO HOT!!!!
These were the first smiles of the day. The 4 younger ones were drenched by the time we left.
T is finding Canal Street on the map. That was the one thing I wanted to do, but the kids didn't like Chinatown as much this time. It might be because they were so tired and hungry and
SO HOT! We walked around for about 30 minutes. No new purses for me. :(
They were all dried off by the time we got back to the hotel. They loved just relaxing and watching cable tv. Chris told the kids next time we wanted to go to NYC he would just get cable tv and leave the kids home to watch Nickelodeon and just take me.
C said "yea, but can we get the Disney channel too?"
