4 words I never thought I would say

We got a dog!

Introducing Chancho!
He is a Shih-tzu Cockapoo. It all kind of happened so fast. The kids have been begging for years and I have always stayed strong. Puppies are a lot of work and messy. I am kind of a clean freak so the thought of a pet in the house....well lets just say I am slowly, very slowly getting used to seeing Chancho walking around my house. He is the best puppy. He sleeps in his crate all night. There has been no whining (from the dog anyway) We have had less than 5 messes in the house. We are very good to get him outside. We are all slowly learning to take care of him.
"Puppies for Dummies" is my new favorite book. The kids love him SO MUCH!

true love

Is it possible to love something that isn't breathing? I think so.

Here is what my driveway looked like at 6:30am
We couldn't even get out the front door.
There were snowdrifts that were over a 12 inches deep

When I got my sewing/embroidery machine I never thought I would love something as much as I loved that. It makes me happy every time I use it.
After going up and down my drive way just a few times and in less then 30 minutes
I think I may have a new favorite
Seriously I can't believe how much I love this thing! It is AWESOME! I can't believe I lived here for so long without it. I was almost giddy when I saw how much snow we had. That must be true love because for all of those who live here and have lived here know that "giddy" and "snow" usually don't belong in the same sentence unless you are a kid and have a snow day because of it.

Last Weekend

Last weekend Chris surprised me. He found a babysitter and we left town for the night. Here is the SAINT who agreed to watch the kids.
The kids LOVE him! When I said good-bye the only thing they said was
"When is he going to be here?"
I have always wondered what the kids do when we leave. Do they really behave? Am got a camera for Christmas. Lucky us! They took pictures all weekend. T was at a sleep over so it was just four of them.
This would be a hamster on his back
A hamster on the piano. The kids loved that he played and sang Beetles songs for them.

This is the hamster in his house
on our Rock Band drums
on the floor in the hall
in a canister
hamster lovin
gross
I really don't mind if the kids hold them as long as they scrub up after

here are some of the TV shows they watched

we laughed hard when we saw these

Next are just funny faces of the kids. They weren't too happy when we got back.
They had a great time. So did we.

I asked him if the kids were good and he said yes. I then asked his mom on Sunday for the truth. He even told his mom they were good.
Blaine you are a SAINT (like I already said) Thank you a million times.

Missing Rosemary

I am missing dear friend Rosemary today. She was such a big part of our lives here!
I am glad we get to talk to her often.
We love her.
