get me out of here

Everyone here is sick except me.

Chris has the flu.

T is getting over something he had a fever last week. Dr. Miller said it looked like he had a sinus infection and took a swab to send to the lab.

C is on his third day of a high fever (103) and sore throat. The rapid strep test came back negative, but they are sending it to the lab.

E has a cough that is terrible and a runny nose.

Am is the only one who hasn't really gotten TOO sick. She has a little cough and runny nose. She is a little mad that she is the only one who has to still go to school. I reminded her T is going to school, but she didn't care.

Ab had school yesterday and told me she wasn't going she "didn't have anything pretty to wear" and her forehead hurt she said. She ended up sleeping on her bed tired from all the crying. This morning she woke up with a fever of 101.

me? I usually don't get sick. T said he wanted to be like me when he grows up because I never get sick. Yeah that's right, not because I am someone he looks up to and wants to be like, but because I never get sick.

Happy Birthday T

T celebrated his 12th birthday yesterday.
It was a special day not only because it was his birthday, but also because he was given the priesthood and ordained a deacon.
Doesn't he look so handsome. He will be passing the sacrament next week. I am going to have to get to church extra early so I can sit in the section that he will be passing to. :)
Look at that face. It is amazing. He really is a great kid. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful young man for a son. Thank you for all the calls and gifts. He had a great day.

sledding

Saturday was family date day. We decided to take the kids sledding at a near by high school with a perfect hill.
The weather was perfect for sledding. Warm...almost into the 50's
They all loved this little jump. It was just the right size for them.
She loved it more then anyone and was the last one into the car when it was time to go.
Look at little Ab's face. I love it!!
I love the look of pure joy on their faces.
She tried a bigger jump and did a face plant, but that didn't keep her down.
He loved every minute of it. He was the first one to try the HUGE hill. It was all the snow that was piled up from the parking lot.
She was the first one in the car. Because it was so warm we all got very wet.
The last time we took her she was only 2 so this was like the first time for her.
She loved every minute of it.
Does this face look like a kid who is bored? I didn't think so either, but that is what he said a few times. When are we going home? I'm bored. Whatever!!
After sledding we went to Dunkin Donuts, Wegmans for pizza, and watched Madagascar 2.
What a fun day.

Dr. Snyderman

Here he is, the doctor who will forever be in our hearts! T had his follow up yesterday in Pittsburgh. We did it all in one LONG day. All looks good. Dr. Snyderman said it couldn't be going any better. He was impressed at how far T could open his mouth which isn't far. (He has to cut most of his food like hamburgers) You should have seen the splints they pulled out of his nose. If they weren't covered in gross stuff I would have taken a picture. One of them was as long as my pinkie finger. He needs to go in every 4 weeks and have his nose cleaned out, but we can do that here. We need to get another scan done in 6 months. He can't go to gym because he is still so tired and trying to replenish his own red blood cells. Other than that it is done. Hopefully this will be the last post about T's nasal and sinus! We did get two more "explanation of Benefits" one for $3000.00 and one for $16.600.00!
