the basement

here is my basement two days ago
go ahead and close your eyes or look the other way. That is what I usually do.
Align CenterIt's a mess...I am never down there so it usually stays messy.
The problem with a messy basement is the kids won't play in it.
Here is my basement today.
sing with me now...hallelujah
I went through ALL the toys and got everything in the proper buckets. Then I loaded them in my car and took them to my friends.(I only kept a few)
I love giving away stuff. It makes me happy.
the problem with a clean basement...the kids want to play in it. (and mess it up all over again)

soccer begins

soccer begins
she is NOT afraid to get in there and get the ball
she gets home on soccer days and gets into her uniform, which usually means we go to games with dinner on her shirt!
she scored 2 goals at this game
I have a feeling it's going to be a great season
these three have been playing soccer together since kindergarten.
she LOVES soccer
she scored three goals this game
the final score 3-1

Lacrosse

E just finished up her first lacrosse season. She started in the fall with just practices, but these were real games. fun!
It was so fun to watch her and see the progress she made through the season. (she is #5)
she is by far the shortest on her team (and it seemed like all the others as well) but that didn't stop her at all.
she can't wait to play again this fall
during the last game of the season while we were cheering E on Am made new friends and traded silly bands.

our Brighton team was split into two teams. Her two best friends ended up on the other team which was fine for her, but not for me. (I like to sit with my friends on the sidelines.) :) We met them at Ben and Jerrys to celebrate the end of the year. YUM!

piano

Align Center

These two had a piano recital last Saturday. I brought along a little digital camera that has video option so I could post for you to see. Being the smart, prepared mother that I am I didn't check my batteries or how much space I had. As T got up to play his song "Hey Jude" I turned on the camera and the card was FULL! I frantically started deleting pictures so I could at least get the ending of the song. Thank goodness Chris had the real video camera going. I had a few minutes until it was Am's turn so I deleted some more pictures and then realized my batteries were dying quickly. She played three songs, this is her last one. I am so proud of both of them.
E has a recital in a few weeks and I will be better prepared
Thank you uncle Jeff! This book has been fabulous! He is now teaching himself "Let it Be"
